The problem
The flat section between two pitched slopes had no meaningful fall, so water sat on it permanently and the perimeter details had begun to fail.
Work undertaken
The old covering was stripped, the deck repaired and firred to create a fall to the outlet, and new insulation laid. A single-ply membrane was installed in one continuous field with formed upstands into both tiled slopes, and the abutment leadwork was renewed.
Materials and system
Timber firrings and deck repairs, insulation board, single-ply membrane, new perimeter trims and outlet, renewed lead soakers into the tiled slopes.
The finished result
The roof now drains fully after rain and the junctions with both pitched slopes are properly weathered.
